Many of Cannondale’s Bad Boy bikes came with a one piece combo handlebar/stem. This is a really cool setup but has no adjustability. Replacing this with a separate handlebar and stem is easy. Cannondale made these stems in two sizes: 1.5″ on many of the rigid forks, and 1.56″ or Headshok size on those with Headshok suspension forks.
The stem has the size printed on the back of the clamp as pictured below. 38.2mm is 1.5″ and 39.7mm is 1.56″ or Headshok size.

Both of these style stems take a 31.8mm handlebar.
