Is it possible to put a triple crank on a Scalpel 29er?

Although all 2012 Scalpel 29 bikes came with 2×10 cranksets, the frame was designed to accept all triple cranks appropriate for 29ers, i.e. not the largest chainrings available.  Theoretically, anything should work, but I would suggest SRAM, since their FD is easier to set up on this bike.  The Shimano FD requires a box wrench to set up, since the screw hides behind the chain stay bridge.

  1. I have a 2011 aluminum Flash 2 and was wondering if there is any way to make the front end slacker (1 to 2 degrees) short of switching from a 90 mm travel fork to a 110 mm travel fork.

Thanks for any help with this question.
